Carton

Carton is the material, which is mainly used for the manufacturing of packaging. It can be made of cardboard, corrugated board or light carton. These materials are made of wood, pulp, waste paper or a combination of these.

Carton is used for industrial and transport packaging as well as consumer goods packaging and point of sale displays and therefore offers a wide range of applications. The flat starting material can be made into almost any form by cutting and folding, from the standard folding box to a sophisticated product display or even a piece of furniture. These creative possibilities can be extended by printing. From direct monochrome printing via multi-colour offset or digital printing to relief printing, there are no limits to the imagination.

Equally impressive are the technical properties of the carton. With comparatively low weight, it offers surprisingly high stability, especially if made of corrugated board. It provides the best possible protection of the packed goods and in its most reliable form can even replace wooden packaging. Due to its good stack ability, it ensures optimum utilisation of storage and transport capacities and its space-saving design also contributes to its high cost-effectiveness.

The environmental footprint of the carton is equally impressive. Recycled materials are used for manufacturing, and its recycling capability is undisputed. Its low weight also saves energy during transport and handling.

Due to its versatility, cost-efficiency and its positive environmental features, the carton is one of the most popular packaging materials, with an important role in logistics also in the future.
